LASER THERAPY FOR FUNGAL TOENAILS
Fungal toenails infections are caused by the infiltration of the nail bed and nail plate by a fungus. While there are many types of fungus, including those that naturally move through the air outside, the kind of fungus that causes nail infections is most often spread through direct contact with someone that is infected. These infections are often picked up in public pool areas, changing rooms, public showers and gyms because fungus thrives in warm and moist environments.
First, briefly introduce the principle of laser treatment of nail fungal toenails. Laser devices emit pulses of energy that produce heat. When used to treat onychomycosis, the laser is directed so the heat will penetrate through the toenail to the nail bed where the fungus is present.
M3 with wavelengths of 980nm 15W are used to increase the localized temperature. In response to the heat, the infected tissue is gasified and decomposed, destroying the fungus and the surrounding skin and nail. The heat from the lasers also has a sterilizing effect, which helps prevent new fungal growth.
Laser nail treatment offers several advantages over alternative methods, such as prescription topical and oral drugs, both of which have had limited success. However, the advantages of laser treatment are as follows.
1:85% – 90% Effective.
2:Not Painful and Does Not Require Anesthesia.
3:One Treatment Is Usually Enough.
